Our vision is of a self-reliant society in which people have equitable access to resources and institutions are an expression of peoples' needs and aspirations.

Our mission is to achieve good governance and sustainable settlements through participatory methods that empower the communities of the Eastern Cape and beyond.

• Using opportunities that arise when implementing programme activities to assist our clients and communities to address these guiding statements
• Building internal understanding of our guiding statements in relation to our work
• Identifying and partnering with external specialists that can support us and our clients to address these guiding statements
• Aligning all our work towards the achievement of our guiding statements
• Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on how we are addressing our guiding statements
• Incorporating a commitment to our guiding statements within all contract and programme work
