Ronald Eglin attended a  provincial government pre-summit on energy in East London yesterday. Energy is understood in its broadest sense to mean electricity, liquid fuels and other energy sources. Participants at the event agreed that it was crucial for the province to address energy conservation and alternative sources of energy in order to drive its future development. The Provincial Department of Environment and Economic Affairs will be holding a formal summit where all stakeholders can contribute towards the development of an energy strategy for the province.
