Eastern Cape Biodiversity Conservation Plan
Posted on 20 September 2007
Peter Kimemia will be attending a workshop in King William's Town tomorrow on how to use the newly-released Eastern Cape Biodiversity Conservation Plan (ECBCP). The ECBCP was drawn up by the Department of Economic and Environmental Affairs and the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry, with the assistance of the Development Bank of Southern Africa and the Eastern Cape Parks Board. The aim is not to prevent development, but rather to guide land use in environmentally sensitive areas or catchments.
