Afesis-corplan and the Project for Conflict Resolution and Development (PCRD) are organising a regional Good Governance Learning Network (GGLN) event on the topic "Towards Municipal Transparency: Advancing Pro-poor Information Dissemination" to be held on 15 August 2008 in East London. The aim of the learning event is to find ways in which information can be disseminated effectively by municipalities to previously disadvantaged communities. Speakers include Dr Pearl Sithole (HSRC), Luke Sinwell (Wits), Daniel Munene (UCT), Cllr Thembekile Nabo and Melvis Pietersen (ODAC).
