Afesis-corplan conducted ward key performance indicators (WKPI) training workshops with two pilot ward committees selected by Buffalo City Municipality (BCM) from 16 to 20 July. Both workshops were attended by at least eight of the ten ward committee members. The workshops were aimed at deepening the understanding of the ward committee members role in promoting participatory democracy, demanding municipal accountability, monitoring performance and participating in municipal processes such as the IDP and budget.
