ADM Growth and Development Summit

Afesis-corplan has been invited by the Eastern Cape NGO Coalition to attend the Amathole District Municipality (ADM) Growth and Development Summit (GDS) to be held on 8 and 9 March 2007. Our Local Government Transformation Programme Co-ordinator Peter Kimemia will attend a preparatory meeting at the Amathole Municipality Offices on 15 February. SCC Regional Office Visit

A four-person delegation from the Swedish Co-operative Centre's regional office for Southern Africa, based in Harare, visited us on 8 and 9 February 2007 to discuss the challenges facing the Amalinda Co-operative Settlement Project as well as how to make progress with the project. A meeting was also held between Afesis-corplan, the SCC and the Provincial Department of Housing where all parties agreed to work together to complete the Amalinda Project.
