Ronald Eglin attended a conference yesterday organised by the provincial and national departments of housing in Bhisho on the Enhanced Peoples’ Housing Process (ePHP). The meeting was attended by about 60 people from municipal and provincial government, academic institutions, NGOs and CBOs. The ePHP outlines government's approved policy framework for community driven housing development. A number of pilot projects have already started that will contribute to shaping the future of the ePHP, which will be formally implemented as from April next year. Government will also conduct a series of roadshows over the next few months to raise awareness of the ePHP. The national department of housing invites comments to be submitted to Annie Rajkumar.
